For example, we can handle PCT National Phase Entry to Japan for a fee of just 400USD (excluding translation costs, the official fee and prosecution after the filing). (Please request our detailed fee schedule.)

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I ask you to file PCT National Phase Entry?

If you can tell us your PCT application number, we can file it soon. POA is not necessary. The translation can be submitted later. If you are a patent firm, we can invoice you after we finish the filing.

What is your area of technical expertise?

We specialize in software, business methods, information and telecommunication technologies, as well as mechatronics. While we do not handle chemistry and biotechnologies, if you urgently need to file a National Phase Entry, we can ensure it is filed on time and help you find a competent attorney later.

How can I pay the fee?

Please note that we prefer bank transfers in USD. However, we also accept payments via PayPal and credit cards. If you are a patent firm, we typically issue invoices upon completion of the work. However, in some cases, we may request payment in advance.

Do we have to send POA?

If we handle a National Phase Entry (or a domestic Japanese application), a Power of Attorney (POA) is not necessary (this also applies to all subsequent prosecution stages). However, if we take over your case from another agent, a POA is required, but your signature is not, so there is no need to mail a physical copy. Please note that for critical procedures, such as patent reassignments, a paper document executed by the owner is necessary, and in such cases, you will need to physically mail the paper.

Do you handle other language than English?

Currently, we only handle English (and Japanese). However, if you urgently need to file a National Phase Entry for PCT applications in a language other than English, we can ensure it is filed on time and help you find a competent attorney later. Alternatively, if you provide us with a reliable English translation, we can handle the prosecution based on that.

Can we do English-to-Japanese translation ourselves?

We kindly request that you entrust the translation of your patent documents to us. Our translation fees are highly competitive (typically 0.20USD/EnglishWord). All translations are done in-house, followed by a thorough review by experts. We never submit raw machine translations. By having our firm handle the translations, subsequent prosecution becomes easier, ultimately improving the chances of patent allowance and saving your costs. Please be aware that if the quality of the translation provided by you is low, there may be additional charges for revisions made by us.
